Today i downloaded our 3D footage onto my computer ready to edit. I am exited about editing it because we got some good footage and i cant wait to see what the outcome on the complete video. We have yet got to download the sound for the video and some little extras but the main part of the project is now completed. I enjoyed capturing the footage for our 3D animation it was fun. As there is only 2 of us in the group it was a lot harder getting all of the pre production work done. But it in a way it is easier because there a less point of views that you have to deal with. My favourite part of the whole process was to create the characters and sets it has been a while since i had done painting and messy things since school i miss them days :)). I have come to the decision that i probably wont be going into animation as a career as it does take a lot of care and patients and i feel thats something that i lack :)

Today i had to redo my proposal because i got it wrong the first time. But i have learnt know that a proposal is something to advertise your idea and company to try and sell yourself to company that is interested. I also started a keynote presentation for my group to present our idea to the rest of the class. I enjoyed making this keynote just as much as i enjoy presenting them. In the group we have to do 3 slides each on different subjects about our idea, Then we put them together and we have in total about 6 slides. We needed to include everything that we want people to know about our idea. i still have a bit of work to catch up on but trying to look on the bright side of things :).

research

There was a lot of researching pre production to be done to be able to get the final idea of the animated production. Because there is only two of us in the group we had to do a lot more than an original group. But with hard work and determination we managed to get it all done. We collected info from the internet to help us choose a target market. We are hoping to get a focus group together to let us know what they think of our idea. We did questionnaires to gather primary research we really wanted to know how the public felt about health and fitness. We needed to know if there was a big gap in the market for animated health and fitness adverts.

Proposal

Today we had to write a proposal to a company trying to sell our animated advert ideas. We had to write a  persuasive paragraph saying all about our company such as what was involved in our pre production. Also we had talk about our codes of practice and our contingency plan. i had to do a second draft of the logo to make it a bit more to professional standard. I enjoyed writing my proposal because i think one of my strong points is talking in front of people n presentations or proposals.

I have furthered my knowledge on different types of technologies and animation. By using flash, I stop motion and by researching on the internet. For me the most useful thing i did was researching on the internet because it helped me collect information for my work. Subsequently i realised that there was a lot to learn about animation and the different technologies used. Having practiced animation using i stop motion i know i feel more confident on creating an animated advert. I have slightly improved my knowledge of using i stop motion, as a next step i need to continue practicing before we get to the final production.
